Who we are

The Vicarage & Cottage is let by Brocklesby Activities Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (no. 12226892), incorporated on 25 September 2019. We are the data controller for the personal information described here.

Registered office: Estate Office, Brocklesby Park, Brocklesby, North East Lincolnshire, DN41 8PN. That is the estate office, not the house itself.

Questions, or any request about your data: office@brocklesby.co.uk or 01469 560214.

What we collect

Only what you type into a form, and the little every website sees.

We have no analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking of any kind. We do not know who visits this site, and we would rather not.

Please don’t send us health information, card numbers or anything else sensitive through the form — we don’t need it, and email is not the place for it.

Why we hold it, and on what basis

We do not send marketing email, and we will not add you to a mailing list because you asked about availability. If that ever changes we will ask you first.

Who else sees it

We do not sell personal data and never will. These are the services that make the site work; each acts on our instructions.

Where a service transfers data outside the UK, that transfer relies on the UK government’s adequacy decisions or on standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum.

If you booked through an agency such as Rural Retreats, they hold your booking under their own privacy notice, not this one.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking. There is one exception, and it is optional.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don’t become bookings are kept while they are still live and then cleared out. Booking correspondence is kept for as long as we need it for the stay and for the tax and accounting records we are required to hold afterwards. Server logs are short-lived.

Exact retention periods — to be set with the estate office.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your personal data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to what we do with it, and to receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. We do not make automated decisions about you.

Write to office@brocklesby.co.uk and we will respond within a month.

If we get it wrong, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first, so we can put it right.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes to anything you have consented to mean we ask again.
