Who we are
The Vicarage & Cottage is let by Brocklesby Activities Limited, registered in England and Wales, no. 12226892. Registered office: Estate Office, Brocklesby Park, Brocklesby, North East Lincolnshire, DN41 8PN (the estate office, not the house).

What we collect
- What you put in a form: your name, email address and telephone number, the house, dates and party size you have in mind, whether a dog is coming, any extras you tick, and your message.
- How you found us: if you arrive from Instagram, a search or an advert, the site notes that in your browser for as long as the tab is open and sends it with your enquiry, so the office knows which of its efforts work. It is sent only if you send a form.
- Server logs: our host keeps short-lived logs, including IP addresses, to keep the site up and defend it from abuse.
Visits are counted by Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and cannot tell who you are. There are no advertising pixels and no tracking across other websites.
Please do not send card numbers, health information or anything else sensitive through the form. We do not need it.
Why we hold it
To answer you and, if it comes to that, to arrange your stay: the law calls this taking steps at your request before a contract, and then performing it. Server logs and visit counts rest on our legitimate interest in a site that works and is not abused. The Google map rests on your consent, which you can withdraw below.
We do not send marketing email and will not add you to a list because you asked about dates.
Who else sees it
We do not sell personal data. These services make the site work and act on our instructions.

Where a service holds data outside the UK, the transfer rests on the UK government’s adequacy decisions or on standard contractual clauses. If you booked through an agency such as Rural Retreats, they hold your booking under their own notice.
Cookies
None of our own, and the analytics are cookieless. The one exception is the Google map on the directions page, which sets Google’s cookies when it loads, so we ask first; decline and you get an OpenStreetMap map with the same pin. Your answer is kept in your browser’s local storage, and the note of how you found us in session storage, which clears when you close the tab. Neither reaches us.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted once they are no longer live. Booking correspondence is kept for the stay and then for the six years that tax and accounting law requires. Server logs are short-lived.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your personal data, have it corrected or deleted, or object to our using it. Write to office@brocklesby.co.uk and we will reply within a month. If we get it wrong you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, though we would rather you told us first.
Changes
If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and the date at the top.
