Caistor Equestrian Centre, out in the Wolds, takes riders from beginners up and runs guided hacks out into the Wolds. Book with them directly — this is a country that rewards seeing it from a horse.
Clay pigeon shooting
A morning on the clays: instruction, guns and cartridges laid on, then lunch at the long table. It suits a corporate party as readily as a birthday — tell us your dates and we will come back with what it takes.

- Sixteen when the Vicarage and the Cottage are taken together — twelve in the Vicarage and four in the Cottage. Either can also be booked on its own.
- Where is it?
- Great Limber, Lincolnshire, on the Brocklesby Estate. The New Inn, the village pub, is a 5-minute walk from the door.
- Are dogs allowed?
- Yes, and more than one. Tell us how many when you enquire — the gardens and estate walks start at the door.
- Is there a minimum stay?
- Two nights. Short breaks and full weeks are both available, and we take bookings year round.
